At this time all remaining garden boxes have been spoken for. We’ll update in the Spring if there are any changes in the availability of boxes.

Thank you, Roberta

Happy Friday! Connor will be delivering soil to the garden tomorrow morning!

Due to other scheduling issues, he will begin moving the soil at 8 a.m. and will want to discuss with you folks the location of the pile. He can move it to an area at the end of the gardens that will allow for moving the soil without the urgency of getting it out of the road right away. However, it will add about 100 feet to the trek. You will have to be present to let him know what you would like to do.

Currently, I have one box at the end requested for Coltran. All other boxes are open for picking. We cannot put any timed drip systems in place due to the spigots being tied into the park system. A schedule will be made available for watering so as not to interfere with either the park or the gardens.

There are 8 paid boxes. Those families will receive this email directly. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I will be out of town until Monday evening.

Thank you!

We have received a great response for the 16 total garden boxes, but still have 8 boxes available. If you are interested in acquiring a box, please contact me for details. My contact submission form is below!

For those gardeners who have signed up and paid for soil for a box, we have scheduled a work day (weather dependent) on Saturday, April 27th, for soil to be delivered. Please meet at the Community Garden at 9:00am and bring a shovel and wheelbarrow, if you have one. We need bodies to move dirt and clear the street by the end of the day.

If you would like to acquire a box but would prefer to supply your own soil, please let me know so I can assign you a box.

Thank you,

The Community Garden is looking great and progressing nicely. There are still 3 boxes available, so please contact me if you are interested in obtaining a box and then you will need to provide your own soil.

Due to the forecast of heavy rain for Friday into Saturday, New Sky will not be moving soil this Saturday, April 27th. It would be wet mud that would have to be moved into the boxes and it would not be exciting for anyone. We have rescheduled the soil delivery and work day for Saturday, May 4th at 9 a.m.

Due to prior obligations, I will be unable to attend the work day on May 4 and therefore will forego my garden box this year. Please proceed in my absence to fill your garden box with soil when delivered on May 4.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Thank you,

The Community Garden is built and ready for occupancy, once the snow melts. We have 16 boxes that will need a bit of love. New Sky Landscaping will be helping us by delivering the soil for the boxes. This soil is already filtered for large rocks and weeds.

Due to the size of the boxes, the soil cost is $70.00 per box. We are tentatively scheduling soil delivery for mid-late April. The soil load will be dropped curb-side by the gardens. We will have to be present with wheelbarrows to immediately transfer the soil into the boxes. City ordinance will not permit us to leave it overnight.

In order to secure your box:

Please mail or drop off your check or cash for $70.00 to 5441 Redhaven by March 31st. Please make checks payable to New Sky, LLC. In addition, please commit to assist in transferring the soil from the street to the boxes. If the money is not received by March 31, unclaimed boxes will be released to those on the waitlist. If you would consider sharing a box with a neighbor, please let me know and I will put you in touch.

As this is a volunteer position, I would appreciate consideration and understanding if I don’t respond immediately. I have a full time job and will generally answer emails in the evening.

Thank you,
